The Network

The network was coordinated by Dr Stefan Reis, who was ample experience of coordinating and managing large research projects and is currently involved in a range of projects addressing human and ecosystem health effects of air pollution and climate change.

For the key areas of the network, measurements, modelling and effects, the following topic leaders will act as focal points and foster communication within the network, as well as contribute to the workshop organisation:

  • Atmospheric measurements – Professor Neil Cape and Dr Mhairi Coyle
  • Atmospheric modelling – Dr Massimo Vieno
  • Human health effects – Dr Stefan Reis
  • Vegetation effects – Dr Harry Harmens and Dr Gina Mills

The network draws heavily on the significant experiences and expertise of individuals and institutions across the UK. So far, the following institutions are involved in and contribute to the network's activities:

As the network expands and activities such as the workshops are gathering momentum, we hope to expand the network participation beyond this list.
